Worked out from each fund’s daily NAVs (AMFI), direct plan or as chosen. Past returns do not promise future ones.
Every other investment calculator assumes a steady return. This one uses a real fund’s daily NAVs: pick any mutual fund, a monthly SIP or a one-time amount, and the month you started, and it works out what the money would be worth today.
It also invests the same amounts on the same dates in a Nifty 50 index fund, so you can see how the fund did against the market’s 50 largest companies.
Units = amount ÷ NAV on the day; value today = all units × latest NAV

Pick your fund and plan, the SIP amount, the month you started and the SIP date. The calculator values your units at today’s NAV and gives the XIRR. Your consolidated account statement (CAS) has the exact figures if you skipped or changed instalments.
Usually because of missed or changed instalments, a different SIP date, a regular plan instead of direct, or exit loads and stamp duty. Small differences in dates change the XIRR over short periods.
The one you pick. Search shows direct and regular plans, and growth and IDCW options. Use the growth option to see the full return, since IDCW payouts lower the NAV.
It is a simple yardstick: the same money, on the same dates, in India’s 50 largest companies at a low cost. It shows how much of a fund’s return came from the market as a whole.
To the fund’s first NAV. AMFI’s records for most funds go back to 2006 or their launch; direct plans began in January 2013.
